His Background
Ezra Stroller was born in Chicago, he began his interest in photography whilst he was studying an Architectural course at the New York University.
He began by making lantern slides, an early type of image projector and photos of an architectural model. When he graduated from university in 1938, he focused his work on photography.
His work
Ezra stroller's work included major landmarks of modern architecture including Seagrams building, Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe's Seagram and Bell Labs Holmdel Complex.
How Stoller Photographed
Stroller took his photos on a traditional film camera, it is not known what ISO film paper he was using but I would guess around 100-200. Aperture I'm pretty sure to be around f32.
All his images are in good focus with good lighting, you can also tell that the shutter speed is around 1 second as you can see there is motion blur in the picture to the top right of the Seagrams building, around the cars.
I am not sure of the camera model he would have used.
Immediately below is some more of Stoller's work.
I am very fond of Ezra Stoller's work
and at the end you can see my interpretation of his work,
taken on GH4 With lens 12-35mm
