Robert Brook

Robert first started photographing his outdoor and night photography in the summer of 1989,  in the fringes of East London. Robert was exploring with a high resolution technical film using a medium format camera.

Robert had intended to photograph at dusk, however the light faded quickly away

and dusk became night.

There was not much to observe, but Robert took a photograph of the Thames and he came to the conclusion that you do not need much to photograph at night, in order to get amazing photographs.

Robert intended to develop this project, but he had entered a new phase of work,

However, as time went on he continued to photograph more and more subject.

This has now been published to Roberts website.

It was not until ten years later Robert continued where he first started

.

In 2002 Robert commenced work on his website UK Nights,

which housed all of Roberts work, where he mostly photographed in black and white.

Robert went digital in 2010. Where to this day he exclusively works in colour.

Below are some of Robert Brook’s photos and descriptions.

After is my interpretation of his work with a touch of my own style.
