6th of may weekend

on Saturday the 6th I was expecting to have a hair cut then do some filming all afternoon, what actually happened was quite different, this turned out to be one of the busiest weekends of my life!

So when my anti gave me a call informing me that i was needed to film a local pageant i was more than ready to go as all my kit was already packed to go up filming in the woods. When got down to the street where the Pageant was taking place i was specifically told, "you make a good film i will find you a job as a photographers assistant! when i heard this i was overwhelmed with hope as this is where my career could take off! So my mission to get smooth usable footage to make the annual highlights video for this years pageant, i was told to make the video about 10 mins long, there was two of us filming, i was on my GH4 while Adele was filming on an old DSLR shooter. I brought with my my best tripod and a slider with another two tripods to mount it about 1m high. Throughout the whole event i only made one mistake (loosing some footage) however Adele had that footage covered.

The footage we had was more than enough to edit with, and when i started editing i knew this was going to take me a while. 5 hours after i started it was 2 a.m. and i had to get some sleep.

The next morning (Sunday) i had another job to do which was to film my Aunt's art work and make a silky smooth film, during this time i managed to get some slider shots, ant tripod pans, also in focus to out of focus, and vice versa. when i finished i realised i needed bit more time, so i will head back next weekend to finish the job off.

During Sunday evening i eventually finished the Pageant highlights and also dropped it off at Bob Bowen's house (the local photographer who normally covers the events), and he thought it was brilliant and i was very pleased with myself. And this is it for blogs this week (i think) well goodbye.
