42 Films Communication
For the 42 films project, an essential challenge that everyone had to do, was to communicate fast and professionally. For my part in this, it meant phoning the clients, before we had left the last client to confirm what time we would arrive at the next company for filming, I also talked with the client if they needed to prepare anything for us, for example at Singer Instruments, I phoned up the manager and asked if there was a free meeting room. They did not have one, so we had to plan in the minibus what we were going to do if we had to film in an echoey lounge, which just happened to be the case. For all of the other clients, I worked with though phone calls went well, other than when we had to call, Elliot’s touch, and we had been told to film one week early, in which case I am pleased I called them, otherwise our whole group would have got there, and we would not be able to shoot, and we would have wasted a couple of hours.
That is, it for stories; below, I will leave communication evidence for 42 films between myself and my group. Also including emails from Gmail about the clients I went to go and film.
Overall, I thought our team communication was excellent for the 42 films project; nothing stands out to me as a problem. For all the films I was on, discussion on the phone and in-person went well. I remember now, for the Somerdale International film, where we were showcasing why they should win the award for the best use of tech in Somerset, I cut in when the nominee was speaking, I have talked about this in one of my reflection blogs, but I thought it is worth mentioning under this reflection blog also.
Finally, I would like to say that everything went smoothly in post-production as well, I kept on talking to my tutors for feedback on the films I was editing, this was good as it did improve my films. Proof for this is in my editing reflection blog.
