Saturday 13th:

This Saturday the weather was good, had some sunlight and some clouds, i decided i need to finish off one of my paid jobs. first thing in the morning, i strolled up to my aunties and video-loged her work, and photographed it as well, mostly the names of the paintings, so that i could edit in the name's of the painting below. i manages to use my new lens, a blog of my review will be up very soon, as soon as i have suitable footage to show. the lens i bought explaining in short, it was a Lumix G (micro four thirds mounting) 12-35mm with POWER OIS stabilisation and my god that stabilisation works like a treat! so i could capture some footage with the camera hand held, which i have never done before as the footage was always so inconsistently stabilised, well any was, the shots i managed to achieve was your typical out of focus to in focus transactions for me to be able to link the footage in post editing, done some pan shots, vertical and horizontal. also some slider footage, with the slider on 2 other tripods. when finished, went home downloaded the footage on to my pc, backed it up then left again.

saturday afternoon:

in the afternoon, i decided to make the choice to use my new lens and go for a walk around the top end of wring ton on a local walk we call number four, this walk consists of, walking through a woods, walking up a steep narrow path, walking through many fields and also taking you through an amazing ridge at the end of a hill where all of the local photographers go to take sunrise/ set pictures.

when i set out i managed to use aperture f22 the most as using this would give me some photos that are all in focus (taking in all of the information, almost like how humans see through our eyes)

my first photo of the day was a simple pylon in the middle of a field that carries electric to our village, next a photo with a 2 second shutter speed which was very had to capture as i had to keep very still and that one turned out okay i guess! it was a picture of a path surrounded by woodland. then a few more of some fields for my landscape work, about half an hour later i managed to take on of my favourite photographs here they are below.

in these photographs i have varied my aperture from f2.8 - 22. may favourite are the ones horizontal in the middle, i edited these in post to sharpen them up a tad and i also turned up the contrast, and lowered the brightness.

new blog next week!
