My PC died and i almost lost everything

So it was the weekend before my mock exams, I had just gotten back from Cornwall filming, deleted all of the footage off my cameras and the next day, I get BSOD on my PC when I go to turn it on. And sadly it wasn't just a restart to solve it, I had to wipe my main hard drive as windows had corrupted itself, typical! And so I did, though when this first occurred I thought my PC had broken thank god it hadn't and eventually after a week of waiting for a new hard-drive as my old one had died I got it up and running again, to my surprise though when I when to reinstall Vegas 15 it found an update for it and this update solved the lag issue after a transition, and now I can return from editing on premier pro as I didn't like it anyway!
