colour correcting and sound levels

This afternoon we had a workshop with Dan working with audio levels and colour correction.
I learned that colour science in videos is a very important factor, this is because that if the colours of clips do not match then the film will loose its flow and consistency, the same goes for audio issues where if the audio keeps dipping or spiking (which means it distorts), the film would be unpleasant to watch and you would loose the viewers concentration, audio can be corrected by either correcting each clips levels or using precise audio curves in the editing software which i personally prefer as it adds an extra level of professionalism even though it takes a very long time to go through all of the audio.
For colour correction, in our documentary there are over 20 different locations where our clips have been captured, so there is a lot of variation in the colours in each clip, I tent to use b roll that is a similar colour to an interview, further adjustments i would make is to use Vegas's (my editing software) AI colour assistance as it really does balance the colours between clips really well, though if the AI fails i would open up my colour correction tool and make fine adjustments to the brightness, contrast, colour science and in some extreme cases i may even add in a filter with a vignette.
below is some pictures of my editing software.
