Social interactions for the trailer like Instagram and Facebook are vital for the promotion of the film. They allow you to get the word out about it and get potential viewers excited to see the film/trailer. With these social sights, you can do whatever you like with them, for example, you can drop little teasers about the film and also have a countdown for when it’s released. You could also do behind the scene shots so the viewers can get a bit more of an idea to the locations and have more of an insight into what the film is about.

What we have done so far is made a couple of social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter. We have made a schedule of what we are going to post on what days and also what type of things we will be posting on each account. For example, on Snapchat there will be all the behind the scenes and a couple teaser posts of locations. Although we won’t give away much about the film and locations, we feel that it will excite the viewers and it may intrigue them to find out what the character will be doing in those locations. And on the other accounts, it will mainly be a promotion. On all the accounts there will be a countdown to the release, this will hopefully get people excited for the day it comes out. All the accounts have the username along with the lines of “The key to life” this will allow people to find the account easily on other platforms.

Joe Payne will be in charge of the posts on Snapchat, Charlie Derham is in charge of Twitter, Kes Pitcher is on Instagram and Taryn Snaith is doing Facebook. We have allocated certain platforms to each person as then we won’t get mixed up on who’s posting what on where.
