Creating Our Poster

On Tuesday the 24th of January we created our film poster with some help from Adam Bastin a good friend of mine who would be helping me with Photoshop and helping our group create the poster as we as a group didn't have muck knowledge of Photoshop and we needed some help. It took us 5 hours and more than 40 layers but we finally had a result that we were all proud of. However, there were some setbacks while working on the poster itself, firstly I was sceptical the while time we were editing weather the blue light filter was on but I was told it was off until we were practically finished and sent it over to my phone so I could have a look and the image was practicality blue. So make sure the blue light filter is off before editing! As well as this we based our poster off of the poster for shutter island as it seems almost horror but also thriller even though the film is a thriller, I also really liked the negative space in the poster as well as the main character's lighting, below is the poster of Shutter Island:

Below are some photos of us working on our poster, based off of the shutter island poster, you can click on the photos to make them bigger.

We Tried to even get our text similar to the one used in the Shutter Island, though with our own colours and font style., we even went as far as to include or actors name on the poster to add a professional touch.

We edited all of our photos on the 2018 Macbook pro, with a core I5 and 16GB ram, which allowed us to create an 4K poster.

Below is our final poster.
