Reflection On Things So Far

Today marks the day that we have all our pre-production folder finished – the storyboards as Taryn was not here to put them into the folder, they should be in next week. However, I would say we have been working very good as a group so far and also distributed out work equally and as fairly as possible, because of this we are finished 2 weeks before all our work is due in! As a producer, I feel as if I have met the criteria of successfully gaining access to filming locations, made sure our pre-production work has met an excellent standard and also keep the team motivation high before we move into filming a week. However, there have been some ups and downs so far, our first down is the money we have had to spend on props (£40) as well as speaking to 50 employees at Vodaphone before finally getting access to a location in Backwell (2 hours on the phone). During this call I was treated poorly and every person I Spoke to didn’t have a clue what I was on about until I managed to speak to the area director of the signal towers around Somerset and Bristol, who finally gave us permission and said, and I quote “just please don’t climb the towers and watch out for the barbed wire”, so that was cool….

Other than this we have done 7 recces 7 H&S slips and also the rest of the paperwork required for our folder. Overall im really impressed and I hope we continue the good work into filming week.
