Taryn Snaith:
SAW (2004): This trailer is similar not in style but in premise, so because of this we can take inspiration from the trailer. Both ours and this trailer, contain the premise that clues need to be found to help the protagonist out. Saw is a horror/thriller and ours is a thriller therefore we can interpret some aspects into our trailer to give the same sort of feel; for example, camera shots, angles, editing styles.
Charlie Derham:
Shutter island (2010): This trailer contains lots of beautiful cinematography that i would like to replicate in our own trailer, for example 1 min and 26 secs in there are 2 consecutive dolly shots, i would like to include this into our trailer as the give off a very scary effect as long as they are used correctly with the right setting. The film is also a thriller so this means these shots should match the genre of our trailer we will also use some over the shoulder shots like there is in the shutter island trailer as well as some drone shots and empty room shots where instead of a bed in a prison cell we will have a safe on a shelf in a messy derelict room. I also really like the sound effects in this trailer and i would like to use some of the rain sounds as well as the uses of umbrellas if we are filming when its rains.
