Script title: Key of life

A room full of people with what looks like a birthday party

Gran

“Get the door”

Dad

“I’ll get it”

Dad walks back into the room

Dad

“it’s for you darling, it must be from your aunt”

Elena

“thank you”

Elena reads the letter

Starts to read the letter 20secs

Then in the first scene, a barn in a field

Our actor is running towards the barn, breathing loudly (out of breath)

Running through the forest close up on feet shot

“where is it” in distressed voice” (cuts to mid shot)

Opening first box turning the key

“come on come on “distressed voice” (windy noise in background)

Drone shot adds windy music in background filming Elena run.

Cut to next scene of the lake

Running downstairs (trips) and says “shit”

Continues to run along the water’s edge heavy breathing

“makes shiver sound” when she feels the water temp.

Cut when she’s opening the box in the water (tell her to shake her hands)

Add Shot of our villain (ex-boyfriend) looking through binoculars and the lake scene of her opening the box.

Note fly’s down from above with the next news someone has died.

cut to the pool shot of Elena’s current boyfriend dead (sounds of her “crying/ weeping” sat in the corner of her room)

Cut to next scene with more dramatic music of Elena exploring an abandoned radio centre Her walking in (rustling of barbed wire as she climbs over the gate)

Then cut to her walking down a hallway and you can only hear her footsteps.

Then a shot of her looking around a room (dolly shot)

Elena searching again (breathing heavily again)

“beeping noise” she jumps down a hole and finds the safe.

(no music)

IMEADIATLY CUT TO BOYFRIEND OPENING UP BEDROOM DOOR IN MORNING

Sam: “morning”

Close up of Elena (confused face) then flashback to him dead in the pool.

Cut to Cabin at kes’s

Elena walking down to cabin after drone establishing shot,

(heavy breathing again)

(sound of her opening cabin door)

“distressed sounds coming from Elena”

Finds the last box then another letter that Elena starts to read whilst we show some more highlights of the trailer in the background ending with a close up of the ex-boyfriend.

We have written as much as we have planned for our script, however, we may improvise on set as to what is said is, for example, other words sound better, or we may only use a different tone. We are mainly improvising however as say the weather is really cold, we may get Elena to say “brrrrr” as its chilly or “urrrr” if it’s raining and she’s shaking off her coat. We will also pick the best takes of Elena reading the voice over and we will also do multiple takes of the improvised speech, to ensure its said correctly.

We believe this script is fitting and will be fitting for our trailer.
